On this day in 2001, a quadriceps injury put The Game's career on pause, while two wrestlers both named Chris took the spotlight, and Triple H & Stone Cold's World Tag Team Titles, too.

Lots of title changes over the years on May 21 as well, including the controversial finish of the WWE Title Iron Man Match at Judgment Day 2000.

  • 1995 - WCW Slamboree - Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage beat Ric Flair and Vader in the main event. Meanwhile, the 3rd and last batch of inductees in the WCW Hall of Fame were honored.
  • 2000 - WWE Judgment Day - The Rock lost his WWE Championship to Triple H in an epic 60-minute Iron Man Match, while Chris Benoit retained the Intercontinental Title versus Chris Jericho in a Submission Match.
  • 2003 - NWA-TNA Weekly PPV #45 - The NWA Asylum Tag Team Tournament rolled on, while The Sandman won a Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match. Meanwhile, CM Punk wrestled in his 2nd NWA-TNA PPV.
  • 2006 - WWE Judgment Day - Rey Mysterio was victorious over JBL to remain World Heavyweight Champion. Meanwhile, Booker T became King Booker after winning the King of the Ring Tournament!
  • 2011 - ROH Supercard of Honor VI - Eddie Edwards defeated Roderick Strong to retain the ROH World Title. Meanwhile, the ROH World Tag Team Champs Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin were in one-on-one action, against Davey Richards and Claudio Castagnoli, respectively!

TV Moments
  • 2001 - WWE RAW - On this post-Judgment Day episode, Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit toppled the Two-Man Power Trip (Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin) and won the World Tag Titles. HHH tore his quadriceps during the match, but soldered on and finished it. He would be out of action for 8 months, missing the Invasion angle completely.
  • 2007 - WWE RAW - On another post-Judgment Day episode, Bobby Lashley ran through a gauntlet for the opportunity to face ECW Champion Mr. McMahon.
  • 2009 - TNA iMPACT! - Jeff Jarrett, Sting, Kurt Angle, and TNA World Champion Mick Foley were all in action before their Ultimate Sacrifice four-way showdown that Sunday.
  • 2010 - WWE SmackDown - CM Punk and his Straightedge Society hosted an "initiation ceremony" to intimidate Punk's Over the Limit "Pledge vs Hair" opponent Rey Mysterio. And, The Peep Show returned with a guest Christian had never seen eye-to-eye.
  • 2012 - WWE RAW - On this post-Over the Limit episode, the Cena vs Laurinaitis saga continued, but now with Big Show in the mix. The AJ Lee-CM Punk-Daniel Bryan fiasco rolled on, too.

  • 1995 - Jeff Jarrett won the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Razor Ramon
  • 1995 - The Nasty Boys won the WCW World Tag Team Championship from Harlem Heat at WCW Slamboree
  • 2000 - Triple H won the WWE Championship from The Rock in an Iron Man Match at Judgment Day
  • 2001 - Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit won the World Tag Team Championship from Triple H and WWE Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin on RAW
  • 2001 - The Big Show won the WWE Hardcore Championship from Rhyno on RAW
  • 2006 - Paul London and Brian Kendrick won the WWE Tag Team Championship from MNM at Judgment Day
