Angle vs EC3 for the TNA World Title is official for Slammiversary! But first, they would have to face opponents of each other's choosing as tune-up matches. EC3 was up first this week. Guess who the TNA World Champion picked as EC3's opponent.

** After a Dusty Rhodes tribute video played to start the show, Mike Tenay stood in the ring to mediate the contract-signing between TNA World Champion Kurt Angle and Ethan Carter III for their match at Slammiversary.

EC3 stressed that he remains undefeated, while Angle argued that things would be different now that he's healthy. After both signed the contract, Tenay revealed that each man would face a wrestler of each other's choosing for that night to tune up for Slammiversary. Angle then revealed his pick to be EC3's opponent: Bobby Lashley!

** After the break, The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) headed to the ring and called out the Dirty Heels to have Match #4 of their TNA Tag Team Championship Series then and there. But Bobby Roode came out alone, saying that his partner Austin Aries was still resting at home following his match with Angle last week for the TNA World Title.

Roode then proposed a one-on-one match to any of the Wolves against him, with the winner earning the chance to pick the stipulation for Match #4.

1. Eddie Edwards defeated Bobby Roode via a roll-up
- Austin Aries surprisingly came out and handed Roode a steel chair! Roode attempted to hit Edwards with it, but Edwards ducked while Richards pulled the chair away from Roode. Edwards then rolled up Roode for the win.
- As a result, Davey chose the stipulation for Match #4 of their series: a Full Metal Mayhem Match!

Backstage, Joseph Park was interviewed, revealing that he would take on Bram's challenge to past TNA stars.

2. No DQ Match: Bram def. Joseph Park after a spear through a table

Backstage, TNA Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell revealed the stipulations for the next match: if Awesome Kong and Brooke Tessmacher defeat The Dollhouse's Marti and Jade, they would both a shot at her title. If not, they would never have a title shot ever again.

3. Awesome Kong and Brooke Tessmacher def. Jade and Marti
- Brooke pinned Marti after an elbow drop off Kong's shoulders

In the ring, Sgt. Chris Melendez and Eric Young traded words before their one-on-one encounter next week.

4. Jessie Godderz def. DJ Z via the Boston Crab submission
- After the match, Jessie talked trash and attacked DJ Z some more until Robbie E made the save

After the break, Magnus stormed to the ring and demanded that James Storm come out to atone for what he did to Magnus' wife, Mickie James. Storm did appear, but brought a stroller with him, presumably carrying Magnus and Mickie's son.

Magnus went for Storm, but the latter kicked the stroller down the ramp! Magnus hurried to the stroller, but found that the baby was just a doll.

5. Ethan Carter III def. Bobby Lashley via a 1%
- Tyrus provided the distraction, while EC3 hit Lashley with a chair
