The Grapevine (6/17/15): Chyna, Slammiversary, WWE 2K16, Bill DeMott

Good morning, everyone! It's your daily Grapevine, and for those who need to catch up, here's today's round-up of the (technically unconfirmed) dirt and rumors from the cartoon world of pro wrestling that you may have missed from the day before.

Some interesting things have happened over the past 24 hours. Let's get on to it.

  • You may have seen this photo of Chyna visiting WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. According to a WWE source, the company was not doing business nor making any communication with her. Nobody knows, as of yet, what she was doing there; all we know is that she was there.

We say: It's... interesting, to say the least. Is she trying to stir up some more attention after obviously lying about claiming X-Pac raped her? This plot is starting to get as thick as she is.

  • Ethan Carter III vs. Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship is happening on the July 1st episode of Impact Wrestling instead of Slammiversary due to taping issues. TNA thought that there was no way to tape shows for after the PPV without giving away the result.

We say: It's actually a pretty smart move, if not an unfortunate compromise. But why not just do what NXT does and have tapings the day after the live event?

  • THQ made its first roster reveals for WWE 2K16. Superstars in the game include Dean Ambrose, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Paige, Bad News Barrett, and Finn Balor.

We say: The notable thing about this is that Balor's main game inclusion should mean that other NXT guys are in the game. Sami Zayn, Hideo Itami, and Kevin Owens should at least be in the game. Samoa Joe might make it in as DLC. (And they'd do that, if they knew what was good for them.)

  • Bill DeMott is holding a "Tryout Training Camp." It's pretty much a two-day seminar held at the GXW Wrestling Training Academy in Richmond, Virginia. He'll be assisted by Mickie James, Magnus, and Earl Hebner.

We say: It's easy to make a joke here, like if you wanna get molested and harassed outside of the Performance Center, here's your chance. But it most likely will be a legit camp, run pretty much the same way as Performance Center tryouts. Hopefully this is Bill's attempt at repairing his reputation by building on the reputation he has left.

What do you think? What's your guess on what Chyna was doing in Titan Towers? Share your thoughts!
