The Grapevine (7/13/15): You Might Be Seeing Charlotte and Sasha Real, Real Soon

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to the Grapevine, and for those who need to catch up, here's today's round-up of the (technically unconfirmed) dirt and rumors from the cartoon world of pro wrestling that you may have missed from the day before.

No big stories over the weekend other than the big Mattel reveals at SDCC, but we've got some intriguing updates in the pipeline:

  • To fuel the fire of the Charlotte/Sasha Banks call-up rumors, word is they're scheduled to show up this Monday on RAW, and apparently there was a memo sent out containing a list of NXT talents that aren't going to be pushed to the main roster soon. Charlotte and Sasha were reportedly not part of the list. (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio)

We say: This little news storyline sounds better and better. The Paige story (intentionally) needs some life injected to it, and quick. We wouldn't be averse to seeing Charlotte and Sasha show up at Battleground to give them a month's lead to build up to SummerSlam.

  • The Roddy Piper/Steve Austin saga continues, with the final salvo apparently being launched in a new Piper's Pit episode today. Roddy claims on Twitter that he respects Austin and wants the both of them to move on after this.

We say: This'll be good, we bet. What could Piper possibly say to sway people against Austin's reasonable reaction?

  • Stephen Amell says he still expects to do something with the WWE. It doesn't matter, according to him at SDCC, if he doesn't even get to work with Stardust.

We say: We agree; he doesn't need to work with Stardust to use whatever pro wrestling potential he may have. Just get the guy in because he wants to play with the big boys. Heh, look at the adjective, play.

  • Lana's been training lately. For what, we don't know, but she's been working on her game, as you can see right here:

We say: Sweat pants, hair [down], chillin' with no make-up on / that's when you the prettiest, I hope that you don't take it wrong

What do you think? Should Lana even be getting in the ring? When do you want Charlotte and Sasha to debut, and do you think they should be debuting on the main roster at all? Let us know what you think in the comments!
