#ThrowbackThursday: Digging Up Daniel Bryan in NJPW

One of the good things you learn when you read a wrestler's book is you get to hear, straight from the man himself, all the stuff he's done in the past.

And for those who don't know, before he became a big star in Ring of Honor, Daniel Bryan was once part of New Japan Pro Wrestling. While he trained at the Inoki Dojo in Los Angeles, he never got to stay really long in NJPW.

We did some digging, however, and found this quick eight-minute gem of a match, where the American Dragon faces a young Yoshi Tatsu, who doesn't look like he comes out to Mario Kart music.

Spoilers: it's interesting to see Danielson win the match all of a sudden—in the middle of Yamamoto's fire—with just an armbar. This is before the Cattle Mutilation came into vogue, so you can tell how far back this was.
