The Grapevine (8/4/15): Kane's Back In The Movies

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to the Grapevine, and for those who need to catch up, here's our round-up of the (technically unconfirmed) dirt and rumors from the cartoon world of pro wrestling that you may have missed from over the weekend.

While RAW is going on right now, we've got some news for you:

  • Kane has been written out of television because he's also starring in the movie Dolph is filming. Kane will be starring in 6:42 as well as another, higher-ranking policeman, and that's why he is out. (Source: WWE)

We say: Reading the movie's synopsis, it already looks like it's going to be fun. Also, an aside: the more stars take time off to increase their profile by doing things like this, the more space there is for hungrier guys to step up and share the spotlight. It's kind of a win-win here.

  • Rumor has it that Swerved will be canceled soon. The WWE Network exclusive is apparently getting some complaints from the WWE talents, presumably for the added stress being pranked has on them. (Source: WrestlingDVDNetwork)

We say: Even though there are some people who enjoy Swerved, we kind of understand how the talents wouldn't like the whole premise. Imagine having to worry about so many things at work, then having one more thing to watch over your shoulder for. We appreciate different original content, but there's gotta be a better way.

  • In today's #LOLTNA news, the company is shooting a Bigfoot angle for Impact Wrestling. We don't really want to get into specifics, but involves Jeremy Borash trying to interview Bigfoot, Bigfoot dancing, and an actual TNA star under the Bigfoot suit. It's apparently to promote a Bigfoot show on Destination America. (Source: F4WOnline)

We say: Yikes, man. This is 2015; wrestling doesn't need any more Gobbledygooker angles anymore. (Not that it ever needed it in the first place.)

What do you think? Are you excited to see their new movie (and Dean Ambrose's movie, while we're at it)? Let us know in the comments!
