#IndieWeekend: Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa

If you closely follow WWE NXT, you may have seen these two faces at some of the recent episodes:

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa are just the latest in a long list of names to make it from the independent scene to the WWE. The two picked up a big win over the team of Tyler Breeze and Bull Dempsey, advancing to the second round of the Dusty Rhodes Classic tag team tournament. We're going to see a lot more of them in the weeks to come, so for this #IndieWeekend we're taking a look at these two men and see what's in store for us!

The Whole Shebang

Johnny Gargano has made the rounds in the indie wrestling scene, having appeared for promotions such as Dragon Gate USA, CHIKARA, Evolve, Pro Wrestling Guerilla and many more. He's a very quick and agile wrestler who's got a bit of everything in him, from high flying to ground and pound to submission wrestling.

Here's a video of this jack-of-all-trades in action, with Gargano squaring off against Rich Swann for Dragon Gate USA. It's interesting to note that Swann is on that list of recent names signed by the WWE, so we may actually see this match in the WWE soon! Nevertheless, here's a sample of what they can do:

The Sicilian Psychopath

Tommaso Ciampa earned his stripes working at Ring of Honor, where he's been a mainstay since 2011. He's a former ROH Television Champion, known for his hard-hitting, smash mouth style. Those of you who are fans of strong style guys like Shinsuke Nakamura and Michael Elgin should find Ciampa fun to watch.

Here's a clip of Ciampa in action, squaring off in ROH against former #IndieWeekend feature Adam Cole:

Head-to-Head

While you all get excited at the prospect of these two squaring off against some of NXT's big names like Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens, the two also know how to put on a show when squaring off with each other. Here's a video of them squaring off  for AAW Pro Wrestling roughly one year ago:

Bonus Content: Do They Look Familiar?

We hope that served as a teaser of things to come from Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. Some of you may feel that you've seen these guys before, though. Don't worry, because for some bonus content we'll shed some light on that:

Unfortunately, we can't find that exact clip of Ciampa's appearance, so instead here's a hint as to whose storyline he was involved in:
