The Grapevine (9/1/15): This Is Not What Sheamus's Possible WWE Title Would Look Like

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to the Grapevine, where we round up the (technically unconfirmed) rumors from the wild world of pro wrestling that you may have missed over the long weekend.

Lots of interesting non-INC news has happened over the weekend, and it doesn't even end with dirt. But before we get to the actual news, first, the rumors:

  • If you saw a Sheamus-themed WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt going around, it's a fake. A fan did a really nice Photoshop job of what the belt's sideplates would look like if/when Sheamus wins it, and the Irish wrestler retweeted it, noting that "they had one on stand-by." (Source: WrestlingInc)
We say: It looks pretty convincing, but we have to put our #SGQ hat on for a quick moment: a Sheamus title belt would probably look better than that. Not saying they wouldn't run the shamrock side plates, but we just think it could be done better.

  • The future of Impact Wrestling on Destination America is not looking good. The network has an "out" clause that they can exercise at the end of September to cancel the show. While nothing's been announced, there are no tapings scheduled for October onward. Taping in India in November is a possibility, but there are no confirmations either. (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio)

We say: That doesn't sound good. If TNA leaves Destination America, there might be no options left for them—DA itself was already a stretch.

  • We reported last week that former TNA Knockout Sarita might be signing with the WWE after finishing up with CMLL. There is new word out that it is highly possible that she signs on to be a coach at the Performance Center. (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio)

We say: Honestly? We really need more ladies wrestling a lucha style. We can't wait to see what Sarita brings to the PC alongside Sara Del Rey.

What do you think? Do you want to see Sheamus as champion again? Do you still want to see TNA try to survive? Let us know what you think!
