The Grapevine (10/8/15): The WWE Legends Edition

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to the Grapevine, where we round up the (technically unconfirmed) rumors from the wild world of pro wrestling that you may have missed over the evening.

There's a couple of interesting WWE-related rumors today, so let's get right to it:

  • Lita may now be working as a full-time agent for the WWE. reports that the Hall of Famer is now on the road with the WWE, working as an agent. Agents are responsible for helping talent plot out their matches, as well as being their intermediaries to the creative team. It's also worth noting that Lita has been attending a lot of WWE tapings recently, as there's some talk of her taking on a creative role in the future. (Source: PWInsider)
We say: If true, then that's amazing news. Lita's experience should be a huge help to current talent, and her having a possible role in creative sounds very interesting. Here's someone who knows how to get fans watching — remember her live sex celebration with Edge on RAW?

  • Mark Henry's looking to hang it up, for good. In a recent interview with Philly, the World's Strongest Man had this to say:
"I don't know how I let Vince [McMahon] convince me into signing another contract back in 2013. He did a bit of magic. He's got that magic where you just go in the office and he'll talk you into it. I won't be signing any more contracts. I'm an elder statesman. This is a young guy business and I'm 100 percent for it. I love the marketing process. I love the international marketing. I love the talent development, but those are all things I'll work with the company on to make sure that our business continues to thrive, but there's a bunch of other stuff that I plan on doing. ... I'm 100 percent sure (this is my final contract). I'm leading toward WrestleMania and I'll have a little time after that, but that's going to be it for me."
We say: We're not a bunch of puppets, Mark. Kidding aside, Henry hasn't exactly been used to the fullest recently, as he's mostly been enhancement talent. While we would love one last run for the Hall of Pain, Wrestlemania is pretty close by now, so WWE needs to pick up on things if they want to give Mark Henry one final run. We here at the Smark Henry offices would be all  for that — hey, he is our spirit animal, after all.

What do you think? Will Lita go on to be a successful agent for the WWE? How do you want Mark Henry's career to come to a close? Sound off in the comments section below!
