The Grapevine (11/25/15): #ZaynBack?

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to the Grapevine, where we round up the (technically unconfirmed) rumors from the wild world of pro wrestling that you may have missed over the evening.

It's a mixed bag of news today (with RAW hitting a brand-new all-time low, but that's not surprising) but there may be a light at the end of the tunnel:

  • Sami Zayn is currently advertised for NXT's UK tour this December. It's not a 100% lock for his return, as it doesn't necessarily mean he will be wrestling, but it would somewhat fit his adjusted timetable for his return. Zayn was supposed to be pegged for a return last month, but his recovery was going slower than expected. (Source: WrestlingInc)

We say: Hopefully this is the real deal; we're not sure what else Sami would be doing on an NXT tour if he's not wrestling. Would it be worth it to fly him all the way over just for meet-and-greets?

  • Lana apparently has nuclear heat backstage. This follows the leaked engagement on TMZ that derailed the Rusev/Summer Rae angle and her apparently shoot exchange with Paige on Twitter last week. She was training at the Performance Center recently and was backstage for this week's episode of RAW in Nashville, seemingly ready to be brought back on TV, but obviously wasn't used. (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio)

We say: Again, we ask—does Lana want to be out of a job? We're really hoping this doesn't affect Rusev's standing, especially now that he's back.

  • Solomon Crowe has been released from the WWE. He requested for and was granted his release on Monday. (Source: PWInsider)

We say: Happy trails, Crowe. He could just never connect the way the other indy signings have.

What do you think? Do you predict that Sami Zayn is well enough to return this year? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
