The Grapevine (11/3/15): The Road to Survivor Series

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to the Grapevine, where we round up the (technically unconfirmed) rumors from the wild world of pro wrestling that you may have missed over the evening.

We're kicking off the wrestling week with today's RAW edition of the Grapevine:

  • According to Wrestling Observer Live's Bryan Alvarez, the next couple of weeks of RAW leading up to Survivor Series will be "rough viewing." Apparently, most of the plans for the PPV have been finalized and either the buildup or the actual card (or both) doesn't look that pretty. (Source: Wrestling Observer Live, WrestlingInc)

We say: We'll be the judge of that, but going by tonight's seemingly-sudden decision to go with a traditional Survivor Series match between teams captained by Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, it does look like they're going overboard (again).

  • Is Nikki Bella taking some time off? She's mentioned having to deal with some nagging injuries (which have been bothering her for a while now, in our reckoning) and teasing time off for it. She had just appeared on tonight's episode, so that's been ruled out for this week. She did, however, mention that the injuries will be keeping her away. This might be why Brie has been wrestling a bit more lately. (Source: WrestlingInc)

We say: Sounds too coincidental with her beau John Cena's time off from the company as well, but as far as we know she'll still be around. Despite what most people think of her, she has been working her butt off this year (and last) so let's hope she can get back on the horse sooner than later.

We say: It's all speculation for now (even if the speculation kind of implies that the game is only coming out in Germany) but at least three different sources should point to something coming for sure. Let's hope it isn't like the PC version of Arkham Knight.

What do you think? Which traditional Survivor Series match do you want to see on the show? Let us know what you think in the comments!
