The New Day: Rolling Stone's Wrestlers of the Year

When life gives you booty, make bootyade!

Pop culture tentpole publication Rolling Stone just released its list of wrestlers of the year, and for the first time, the WWE's reigning Tag Team Champions and proponents of unicorn magic The New Day have topped the charts.

It seems like yesterday when the trombone-toting threesome debuted to general groans and apathy amidst the feeling that the WWE was going backwards by presenting the talented trio of Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E as what appeared to be a tired black stereotype. But throughout 2015, the crew has consistently been one of the most entertaining things going in the company right now, brilliantly evolving before our eyes and shooting to two Tag Team Championship reigns (following the famed Freebird Rules, naturally), multiple main events, the most infectious chant right now (NEW! DAY ROCKS!), and perennial best-selling merchandise at WWE Shop.

Even Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens, who were the two other main contenders to top the Rolling Stone year-end rankings, would have to say that's a pretty fine 2015.

And it's an even bigger credit to the three for reportedly being the creative brains behind the gimmick of being duplicitous preachers of positivity. Brass ring ba 'kamo?

2016 looks to be an even bigger year for the New Day, but until then, Henrinites, don't you dare be sour! It's time to clap your hands, and feel the powah!
