The Week In Wrestling: December 7-13, 2015

In the fast-paced world of pro wrestling, one week can feel like a lifetime. So for the benefit of all of you who may have gotten overwhelmed by all the happenings in the last seven days, we're introducing a new feature here at Smark Henry—the Week in Wrestling.

Here's what you may have missed for the week of December 7 to 13, 2015.

The Week in Analysis

  • Word Life: Stan gives us his in-depth review on WWE 2K16, and tells us why the game lives up to its promise of raising hell in a big way. And that's the bottom line, cos Smark Henry said so!
  • Cafe Puro: Lance tells all non-puro fans and disgruntled WWE fans alike what Wrestle Kingdom is all about, and why we all need to be stoked for the Japanese wrestling world's version of WrestleMania.
  • Theme Song Tuesday: Renzo gives us a musical point of view on why Vintendo's PWR theme is one of the best things in local wrestling today.
  • WTF Wednesday: Anthony gives us some glaring examples of how wrestling fans take picture-taking etiquette with their idols a bit too far.
  • Thursday Night Tanders: The Throwback Tito looks back at how one great stable was booked—and how a later one wasn't.
  • Finisher Friday: Lynch talks about some of the great finishers that ironically seem to have finished—albeit temporarily—the men and women who perform them.
  • Updated PWR Power Rankings: After the chaos and new talent debuts at PWR Live, who deserves to be called the best wrestling on the local wrestling scene? [Spoiler alert: It isn't James "Idol" Martinez]
  • The Nexus: MDJ looks back at some of the wildest ribs pulled by the British Bulldogs during their glory days in the 1980s that make today's backstage shenanigans look tame by comparison.

The Week in Rumors

  • Monday: Mick Foley's little boy Dewey (of "Cane Dewey" fame) takes a job at the WWE, Rey Mysterio seen with crutches, and rumors of an ECW original making his way back to the 'E.
  • Tuesday: Whispers on the status of AJ Styles' back, potential changes to the WWE's creative direction, and a certain "big" former World Champion returning to action.
  • Wednesday: Perhaps the biggest name in modern lucha libre history is rumoured to be joining Lucha Underground, and a possible reason why the New Day is getting more swag on WWE Shop.
  • Thursday: An update on how Dewey Foley landed his job on the WWE Creative Team, and Alberto Del Rio throws some shade AAA's way.
  • Friday: We discover who's behind SmackDown's writing as of late, future plans for Brock Lesnar, and some insight on who Alberto Del Rio's backer in the WWE is.

The Week in News

  • What happens in Puerto Rico stays in Puerto Rico: Reigning WWE United States Champion Alberto Del Rio makes an appearance at a World Wrestling Council show, and gets attacked by a fan at ringside.
  • Is it the end of the road for Sting? In an interview with WWE.com, the Stinger gives us an update on a possible career-ending procedure he may need to get on his neck.
  • Follow the Path to Gold: PWR General Manager Mr. Sy introduces an all-new concept for the Philippine Wrestling Revolution—an 8-man elimination battle royal to determine one winner, who can then decide whether he wants to challenge for the PWR Championship of "Classical" Bryan Leo or the PHX Championship of "The Social Media Sinister," Ken Warren.
