Social Media Round-Up: The Wrestling World Reacts to Daniel Bryan's Retirement

The wrestling world is in shock as four-time World Champion Daniel Bryan just announced his retirement over Twitter.

The 34-year old Bryan (real name Bryan Lloyd Danielson) had been battling injuries over the past two years, vacating the WWE World Heavyweight Championship he won at WrestleMania 30 to undergo neck surgery, and after returning in 2015 to win the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 31, was forced to relinquish it as well to deal with unspecified medical issues.

WWE.com posted footage of Bryan arriving at RAW earlier today, and his posture and body language seem to be telling a story none of us want to hear.

We've seen a massive outpouring of support for the former indie star who was, at one point, arguably the most popular wrestler on the planet, but now he's officially done.

Here's one from Triple H, the WWE's real-life Executive Vice President for Talent, Live Events, and Creative, taking back the infamous "B+ player" title he mockingly bestowed on Bryan back in 2014.

Even Vince McMahon is getting in on things.

Stephanie McMahon keeps things classy with some simple profound thanks.
