The Grapevine (2/23/16): Making Up For Fastlane

Good morning everyone, and welcome to the Grapevine! This is our daily post rounding up all the interesting rumors from the wild, wild world of pro wrestling that you may have missed over the evening.

WWE apparently wants to make up for Fastlane:

  • There's reportedly a big surprise planned for RAW tonight. Reddit user Falcon Arrow from r/SquaredCircle, who predicted the Undertaker's return at Battleground last year, said to watch the show from beginning to end. Dave Meltzer confirmed that something big was about to happen, although he didn't know what and that it would be at the beginning of the show. Falcon Arrow later confirmed that it was indeed set at the beginning of the show. (Source: WrestlingInc)

We say: We are real curious about what this is. Whether it's something to be excited about is still up in the air. We just have to wonder, though—does this have anything to do with CM Punk's profile being back on the WWE website?

  • It's entirely possible that Daniel Bryan could be inducted in this year's Hall of Fame class. While the possibility is there, his induction might also be saved for next year, when they can get more out of it. (Source: Wrestling Observer Live)

We say: It's too soon. Just give him the Vincent J. McMahon award and save his induction for another time.

What do you think? What—or who—will the big surprise be? Let us know what you think in the comments!
