Roman Reigns Suspended For 30 Days

He's not a good guy, he's not a bad guy, he's just the suspended guy.

Less than 48 hours after cleanly losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Seth Rollins at Money In The Bank, Roman Reigns' life just took a turn for the worse with a 30 day suspension over a Wellness Policy violation.

WWE.com says:

WWE has suspended Joe Anoa`i (Roman Reigns) for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.

Reigns immediately took to Twitter to own up to his poorly-timed lapse in judgment.

WWE does not normally release details behind its Wellness-related suspensions, but the policy as detailed on its corporate website covers a broad range of conditions beyond substance abuse or use of performance enhancements, such as:

  • Cardiovascular Testing and Monitoring
  • ImPACT™ Testing
  • Annual Physicals
  • Health Care Referrals

In theory, this means a suspension could be due to reasons as benign as a failed physical or a missed appointment.

No word on how this will impact the WWE World Heavyweight Championship scene, but the timing of this suspension should allow Reigns to compete at Battleground on July 24th. But more awkwardly, this also means he will be out of action during the live brand split talent draft on July 19th.

What do you think about this shocking announcement, Henrinites? Do you think this dooms his prospects of regaining the championship any time soon? Let us know in the comments.
