The Grapevine (6/14/16): Cooking Up That Marinara

Good morning, and this is your daily Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the evening.

We're not sure if this is true, but it doesn't hurt to hope:

  • Vince McMahon is reportedly very happy with Enzo Amore's return. Even though he is said to believe that Big Cass is the bigger (literally and figuratively) star between the two, he understands that it was mostly Amore's mic work and charisma that got them over. It's speculated that their strong sales will likely keep them together in the WWE Draft. (Source: Daily Wrestling News)

We say: This is a source which we take with a lot of salt, but it makes a lot of sense. Muscles Marinara definitely has a place on the main roster. We guess we'll find out when the Draft comes along in less than a month.

  • Damien Sandow's no-compete clause is until early August. Until August 7, he's not allowed to appear on either TV or iPPV, but is allowed to work house shows. He recently brought back the popular stunt double gimmick at a Maryland Championship Wrestling event last weekend. (Source: WON)

We say: The no-compete is normal, but why bring back the stunt double? Who is he doubling for? That's just lazy, man.
