Shelton Benjamin Returns to SmackDown Live!

Minutes ago on SmackDown Live!, a surprising return was announced:

Yes, that's right—Shelton Benjamin returns to a WWE Ring for the first time since 2010!

Many fans will remember Benjamin as the athletic, highlight reel-worthy superstar known for his moments in the Money in the Bank ladder matches. Aside from that, he has held both singles and tag team titles in the WWE, and was involved in a number of memorable matches, such as when he beat Triple H in one of the most memorable upsets in wrestling history. Since leaving WWE in 2010, Benjamin has plied his craft in Japan as part of the Suzuki-gun stable in NJPW and Pro Wrestling NOAH.

It'll be interesting to see how Shelton fits into the SmackDown Live! scene moving forward, and just who he'll cross paths with. There's a mix of old and faces on the show, and we'll likely be treated to some nice matchups very soon.

Are you guys excited to see Shelton Benjamin return? Let us know in the comments!
