WWE RAW Results (8/1/16): Outta Nowhere!

Monday night in Atlanta, things seemed to come from outta nowhere.

Of course, it includes an RKO courtesy of Randy Orton.

Smackdown's resident Viper invaded RAW to deliver a hard-hitting RKO to a returning Brock Lesnar, his opponent at SummerSlam. The Beast's advocate Paul Heyman, also making his return to WWE TV, stood in shock at what just happened!

Bosses vs Haters

The celebration of new WWE Women's Champion Sasha Banks that kicked off RAW turned into an impromptu tag match against now ex-champ Charlotte. Their respective partners? Enzo Amore and Chris Jericho!

Sasha and Enzo was about to wrap the match up when Dana Brooke distracted Sasha, allowing Charlotte to hit the Natural Selection for the victory!

Then, Kevin Owens, who joined commentary during the bout, apparently aligned with Jericho later in the night.

Face-off

The two contenders for the inaugural WWE Universal Championship traded words Monday.

Former NXT Champion Finn Balor stuck it to the first NXT Champion Seth Rollins, and hit a surprise Pele kick to Rollins, who bailed out like a scalded cat.

Later in the night, however, it was Rollins who showed up Balor in return by defeating Sami Zayn with a Pedigree!

It's Club-berin' time!

The Club demanded a fair fight Monday against WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day. They got it, as Big E and Kofi Kingston answered the call while Xavier Woods went backstage.

Big E got the win outta nowhere with a roll-up, but Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows got the last laugh in a vicious beatdown of the New Day trio!

Rusev's reign threatened

WWE's ambassador to the Olympics (and a former Olympian himself) Mark Henry wanted to show he got one more fight in him. RAW GM Mick Foley booked him against the US Champion, Rusev!

The hoss fight ended with an Accolade by the champ. But a new battle line got drawn when Roman Reigns showed up and gave Rusev a Superman Punch!

Future title shot

Later, Sheamus took offense that Mark Henry got a title shot, but he didn't. Cesaro then barged in, saying that the fans don't want to see Sheamus anyway.

Foley and RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon then offered a solution: Sheamus vs. Cesaro with the winner getting a future title shot.

Cesaro triumphed with a Neutralizer, but it remains unclear what championship he will or can vie for.

Free agent no more

Heath Slater once again attempted to get signed by RAW, and he brought back the returning Jinder Mahal to back him up.

Foley, however, had other ideas. He had both men face each other, and the winner will become the newest Superstar on Monday nights!

One quick roll-up later, and RAW's newest signee... Jinder Mahal!

The rest of RAW

Braun Strowman and Nia Jax continued their onslaught, defeating Evan Anderhole and Ariel Monroe, respectively, in squash matches.

Titus O'Neil also taught Darren Young a lesson - sort of - by defeating him with a handful of tights.

The Pokemon Go craze, meanwhile, just cost the GOlden Truth a match on Monday against The Shining Stars. Sure, R-Truth got a Pokemon but not Goldust's tag. Primo rolled Goldust up for the win.

Finally, it was announced that Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs will be on RAW next week!
