WWE RAW Results (9/12/16): Clash and Burn

Monday night in Baltimore, the Clash of Champions main event was determined.

2 R's ruin Reigns' run

In a main event with Clash of Champions implications, Kevin Owens faced Roman Reigns, where if Reigns won, he'd be added in the Universal Title match at the RAW PPV!

RAW GM Mick Foley explained to Rollins before the match why Reigns got the opportunity, saying that Roman was as wronged as Seth.

But a backstage encounter between Owens and Rollins didn't help diffuse the situation. Rollins interfered in the main event, prompting Foley to restart the match!

Back and forth they went until United States Champion Rusev cost Reigns the match and a spot at the Clash of Champions main event! It will be Rollins vs. Owens 1-on-1 for the Universal Title!

Charlotte's challenger is...

Charlotte is set to defend her Women's Title at Clash of Champions, but against who? That was determined in a triple threat match that opened RAW.

Both Sasha Banks and Bayley staked their claims before RAW GM Mick Foley, but the continuing friction between Charlotte and Dana also led to Dana being included in the match!

The triple threat bout's ending was quite confusing, as both Sasha and Bayley's shoulders were apparently down when the referee made the count. Despite that, the ref raised Sasha's hands, making her the winner and Charlotte's opponent in 2 weeks.

Reeling in Sami

According to him, Chris Jericho was supposed to have Universal Champion Kevin Owens as his guest for Highlight Reel, but GM Foley didn't allow it due to the champ's main event match later.

Instead, Jericho had Owens' former best friend, Sami Zayn. Jericho insulted Sami, who then warned Y2J that the selfish Owens would betray him also in due time.

Incensed, Jericho beat up Zayn and sealed the deal with a Codebreaker!

It was later announced that Sami Zayn will face Chris Jericho at Clash of Champions.
