There's A Big Change to the NJPW Power Struggle Main Event

New Japan Pro Wrestling's final major event of the year, Power Struggle, is coming up on November 5, 2016, featuring the main event rematch between Tetsuya Naito and Michael Elgin for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship.

That is, until NJPW made the announcement yesterday that Elgin will indeed be taken out of the card due to an fracture around the left eye, which means a main event change is in order. Who better to replace Michael Elgin than with a guy who screams "main event caliber" all over?

Jay Lethal is certainly no stranger to Naito as they were formerly associates in the early days of Los Ingobernables de Japon, a relationship than soon ended with a beatdown on Lethal. It looks like they are continuing with the narrative between the former partners, a story that was told through both NJPW and ROH.

Honestly, don't be surprised if these two men pull off the match of the night. And lest we forget, the outcome of this match may very well see what the IC Title picture will be come Wrestle Kingdom season.

Who else is excited to see these two main event players get their chance in the spotlight? Who do you guys got? Sound off in the comments!
