Jake De Leon Suffers Concussion, Out Indefinitely

In what seems to be a case of adding injury to insult, newly-dethroned PWR Champion Jake De Leon will be out of action indefinitely with a major concussion following the events of PWR Live: Suplex Sunday.

PWR Central reports that the two-time champion underwent a series of tests this morning after supposedly complaining of mild nausea and a ringing in his ears after his brutal Bacolod Bullrope match against John Sebastian.

Officials could not speak on when De Leon can return to action, but it is suspected that the concussion was first induced by a Tombstone piledriver he suffered early on in the match.

Observers speculate that this condition was further aggravated after a series of hard hits to the head, including getting run into the ring post twice, a hard enzuigiri, and a cowbell-assisted Killshot to end the match.

PWR officials were unavailable for further comment as of press time, but we'll keep you posted on any potential statements from the promotion.

This injury is the latest blow to the otherwise-thriving Philippine wrestling scene, following the recent disappearances of such established stars as former PHX Champions Ken Warren and Bombay Suarez, as well as the much-despised "Classical" Bryan Leo.

From all of us here at the Smark Henry offices, we wish Jake De Leon the best of luck on his recovery, and pray he is able to make a return to the ring in reasonable time.
