How To Get To Venue 142 For PWR Live: Bagong Yugto

Attention, Revo-Nation! For the first time, the Philippine Wrestling Revolution will be invading Quezon City as it turns over a new leaf with PWR Live: Bagong Yugto this January 29.

The company announced a change in venue for its inaugural event of 2017, moving from the familiar confines of the iAcademy Auditorium in Makati to the panoramic Venue 142 in Quezon City.

It's a very posh, scenic venue with an all-around view of the Marikina skyline, and some very nice amenities, including clean bathrooms and a smoking veranda right outside the venue.

Where Is Venue 142?

Venue 142 is located on the roofdeck of the L Building, 142 Katipunan Road, Quezon City, on the stretch of road connecting Temple Drive to Col. Bonny Serrano.

Some people may know this stretch better as White Plains Avenue, which is famous for the gardening stalls lining its sides.

The building is easily distinguishable by its glass fa├žade. Do note that the signage is quite small, so just look out for the Philippine National Bank branch at its ground floor.

You can't miss the Monterey Meatshop beside it, nor the Pan De Amerikano across it.

How Do I Commute To Venue 142?

The most obvious landmark if you're commuting is the big Caltex at the corner of Katipunan and Col. Bonny Serrano. In all cases, use this as a reference point to get to Venue 142.

If you're commuting from EDSA, take a jeep at Bonny Serrano heading towards Eastwood/Marikina, then get off across Caltex when you see it on your left. Venue 142 is a short five-minute walk down White Plains/Katipunan, and will be on your left side. Take note that you should be walking away from Caltex to get there.

If you're commuting from C5, take a jeep heading towards Cubao via Bonny Serrano, then again get off at the Caltex on the Katipunan intersection. You'll want to cross the street to your left, and head down White Plains/Katipunan until you see the building after approximately 250 meters.

If you're commuting from Katipunan, get off at Caltex since jeepneys aren't allowed to enter the White Plains stretch. Just cross the street to get to Katipunan Road Extension, and keep walking until you see the building.

How Do I Drive To Venue 142?

If you're coming from EDSA Northbound, turn right at Temple Drive, right before the EDSA Monument. Just keep going until the very end of this stretch until you see the stoplight. Turn left onto White Plains/Katipunan, and keep driving past both White Plains gates until you pass the Monterey Meatshop. Venue 142 is the building immediately after.

If you're coming from EDSA Southbound, you can't turn left onto Col. Bonny Serrano. You'll need to take the U-turn slot immediately after the intersection, then turn right onto Bonny Serrano heading towards Eastwood. You'll pass a few stoplights, and look out for where it intersects with Katipunan. You can't miss the stoplight and the Caltex on your left. Turn right here, and drive down a couple of minutes until you see the venue on your left.

If you're coming from C5, head towards Katipunan, but make sure you don't take the tunnel. You'll want to stick to the right lane, where the road ramps up towards Bonny Serrano, then turn right onto Katipunan. There's a U-turn immediately after this, so make sure you merge left as soon as you can to sweep around to the opposite direction. Venue 142 will be a couple minutes drive down White Plains/Katipunan from here.

If you're coming from Katipunan, you really don't need directions. Just drive straight down until the White Plains area, and keep your eyes peeled on your left.

Can I Park At Venue 142?

Don't count on it.

Unlike the Bayanihan Center in Mandaluyong or the iAcademy Auditorium in Makati, parking is extremely limited. The building itself has ten slots in front, and 20 more in the basement, but these fill up quickly. We highly recommend against bringing a car. You're probably better off parking at Eastwood then commuting the rest of the way.
