Kurt Angle To Headline WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2017

It's true. It's damn true!

Kurt Angle is headlining this year's class of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Angle was announced as this year's headliner in a press release on WWE's corporate website, which the former Olympic Gold Medalist affirmed on his own Twitter account.
The four-time WWE Champion hasn't been seen on WWE programming since 2006, when he and WWE mutually parted ways following multiple injuries and a burnout on Angle's part. In his seven years with WWE, Angle had one of the quickest rises from rookie to main event player, winning every major championship available during his time there. Aside from winning the WWE Championship, Angle has also won the World Heavyweight Championship, WWE Tag Team Championship, Intercontinental Championship, European Championship, the King of the Ring, and the Royal Rumble.

Known as one of the best wrestlers of his generation, Angle was known for putting out classic after classic as an active competitor. One of his most well-revered performances has got to be his epic match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 21.

It remains to be seen who will be inducting Angle into the Hall of Fame when it airs on March 31 from Florida, or even if he'll be having one more match at WrestleMania 33. But one thing's for sure: this one's been a long time coming.

Congratulations, Kurt Angle!
