The Grapevine (2/6/17): Rock 'n' Roll All Night

Good morning, and this is your daily Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the weekend.

We might have a new tag team going into the Hall of Fame this year:

  • The Rock 'n' Roll Express is rumored to be announced for the Hall of Fame this week. It's obviously most likely going to be the original Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson combo, after a sports bar announced that a "big announcement" was coming on RAW this week. The Rock 'n' Roll Express would be the second name, if ever, for this year's Hall of Fame class after Kurt Angle. (Source: WrestlingInc)

We say: This is huge news if true, and interestingly a little overdue. Stay tuned tomorrow to see if it holds up.

  • Roman Reigns entered the Royal Rumble match at #30 to condition the audience to cheer for Randy Orton when he won. It's a setup for Orton's eventual face turn against Bray Wyatt, and to surprise people who really believed that Reigns would win the Rumble match in dominant fashion once again. (Source: WON)

We say: Well, duh. But you probably wouldn't need all that if the Wyatt Family were booked stronger all match.

Let us know what you think of today's news in the comments!
