PWR Announces First Show For The Summer

Fans of the Philippine Wrestling Revolution should be expecting the hottest summer in company history with the announcement of its next show, PWR Live: Mainit.

The show is scheduled on Sunday, March 19, at the beautiful Unilab Bayanihan Center on Pioneer Street, Mandaluyong. Bell time will be at 2 PM.

No matches have been announced, but it's safe to say that judging from the poster and other promotional materials, Path of Gold winner Chris Panzer will feature heavily in this summer spectacle. With a guaranteed main event slot at Wrevolution X in his pocket, he'll be looking to build up a head of steam against reigning PWR Champion John Sebastian.

We'll bring you all the match updates as they come, but we expect certain storylines and feuds from recent PWR events to be propelled forwards on the road to the promotion's biggest show of the year.

Among them:

  • Rederick Mahaba may have wrapped his program with Alexander Belmonte III of The Network, but how upset must he be over failing to live up to his promise of becoming the #1 contender for the PWR Championship? More importantly, how is he going to respond to The Apocalypse, whose brutal interference in the Path of Gold match directly cost the Intimate Warrior his shot at glory?
  • "The Golden Boy" Chino Guinto may be the hottest rising star in the company today, but how does that sit with his boss, James "Idol" Martinez, who he inadvertently eliminated at PoG, and consistently outshone in recent history?
  • SANDATA may be spinning his wheels after failing to claim the PHX Championship last November, but his year-long blood feud with Guinto is only getting hotter. How will the two young lions bring their war to a decisive finish?
  • Miguel Rosales and Joey Bax of Fighters 4 Hire may still be smarting from their loss to the YOLO Twins at Bagong Yugto, but in their eyes, that upset was the creation of the meddling Mike Madrigal and Vlad Sinnsyk. The two teams have been at each other's throats for nearly half a year now, and things are only going to get worse.
  • Now that the threat from Main Maxx has been dispelled, what's next for PHX Champion Peter Versoza in his blossoming career?

These are just a few of the threads we're raring to see resolved, but PWR never fails to bring some new surprises out of its bag.

What matches are you looking forward to seeing, Revo-Nation? Let us know in the comments. But in the meantime, don't miss this interview with Chris Panzer showing his focus and determination to make 2017 the Year of the Panzer Army.
