The Grapevine (3/3/17): Swag Jacker

Good morning, and this is your daily Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the evening.

Jack Swagger isn't quite out the door yet:

  • Jack Swagger asked for his release from WWE, but he is still with the company. As it stands, he's on his way out, but they're currently processing it. Expect it to happen soon. (Source: PWInsider)

We say: It makes no difference, we suppose. Shame that the first big steal from RAW to SmackDown was treated this way, but not even the awesomeness of the blue brand could recover everyone.

  • Elias Samson is expected to be called up to the main roster soon. He lost a Loser Leaves NXT match at the recent set of tapings to Kassius Ohno. Samson was actually supposed to move up last year, but he injured his ankle last June. (Source: WON)

We say: WHY? Are we running short of jobbers?

  • Magnus will be returning to TNA on this weekend's set of tapings. This is in light of the various high-profile departures from the company. He hasn't been in TNA since 2015, and there was some speculation that he could have been headed to WWE after his wife Mickie James returned to the company. (Source: PWInsider)

We say: That's one small victory for TNA, we guess?

Let us know what you think of today's news in the comments!
