Good Ol' Jim Ross Is Reportedly Back With The WWE

Guess who's back, back again?

PWInsider reports that the one and only Good Ol' Jim Ross has signed a new deal with the WWE again. For this run, he'll mostly do Network programs and the occasional on-air commentating spot. He'll begin with announcing the WWE Universal Championship match between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. This is also good timing, because if SmackDown Live play-by-play announcer Mauro Ranallo has to take time off, they've got JR to call on.

It was apparently a deal they offered (and JR signed) around a month back, before JR's wife Jan Ross even unfortunately passed away due to a tragic hit-and-run accident. This also means that JR's time calling New Japan Pro Wrestling shows on AXS TV is done, should there be any future episodes of NJPW on AXS.

This was the last WrestleMania match JR called:

One thing's for sure: regardless of how old JR is now, hearing his voice again in today's commentary scene will be a breath of fresh air. You excited?
