The Grapevine (5/4/17): That Adam Cole, He's So Hot Right Now

Good morning, and this is your daily Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the evening.

Everyone wants to know where Adam Cole (BAYBAY) is headed to next:

  • Adam Cole isn't locked down for any promotion at the moment. His contract with Ring of Honor expired over the weekend, and while it's heavily speculated that he may be WWE-bound, that move is not certain yet. Everyone is looking to sign him right now, and NJPW is also interested in picking him up. While he's not exclusive to a company, he's still able to work Ring of Honor dates on a verbal agreement. We say: Seems like a lot of speculation right now, so we're posting this one just to end the rumors that are currently meandering. Looks like we'll only find out when we either see Cole in the Performance Center, Japan, or elsewhere.

  • UK tabloid The Sun reports that the Undertaker was seen at the David H. Koch Memorial Pavilion Hospital in New York, a hospital known for its orthopedic department. It's not known exactly what he was there for, but we do know that he does need hip surgery, which he's delayed for until after he retired. He had been working with a bad hip in his two matches this year. (Source: The Sun)

We say: If anyone needed an indication that Undertaker's most likely retired from wrestling, this has to be it. Let the poor man rest. He's hurting.
