The Grapevine (10/26/18): Crimes Against The Crown

Good morning, and this is the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the week.

While Crown Jewel is pushing through, at least two Superstars don't want to be a part of it:

  • John Cena and Daniel Bryan are reportedly refusing to work Crown Jewel. While the WWE announced last night that the event was pushing through in Saudi Arabia as planned, Cena was still announced for the event despite rumors of he and Bryan being unwilling to appear at the event. According to 411Mania, however, Cena is completely off the show despite it pushing forward. (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio, 411Mania)
We say: We still do hope that both men continue to make a stand against Crown Jewel. Money speaks louder than words, we guess, if the company is pushing through with this.
  • The Wyatt Family could be reunited. Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper are without any storylines since both their partners got injured earlier this year, but there was a "pitch" on reforming the two members together. Both Wyatt and Harper have not been on TV since SummerSlam. (Source: WON)
We say: This has only been labeled as "a pitch" so don't take it as gospel just yet.
  • Bobby Lashley is working through a separated shoulder. While the injury is causing him a lot of pain, Lashley still insists on working as much as he could. He wouldn't need surgery, just time off from the road schedule to heal up. (Source: WON)
We say: Well, that doesn't sound like a good idea. But best wishes to Bobby Lashley, and hopefully it doesn't get worse for him.
