#ThemeSongTuesday: OH! It's Time To Rock 'N Roll!

As a wrestling fan in my late 20s, iconic entrance themes always take me back to the time when I first got into it all. When I hear the entrance theme of a Superstar I haven't seen in a long time, or that of a Superstar who I loved growing up, or a Superstar who has been out of the spotlight altogether, I just mark the fuck out. And over the past year, I've marked out quite a bit for this theme.

From the moment you hear that giggle, you know that it's 100% Stratusfaction, guaranteed. Hell, when it played on RAW this week, I was smiling from ear-to-ear, as if I was 14 again.

Granted, much has changed about Trish Stratus since her heyday as a WWE Diva. She no longer wears skimpy clothing, let alone hangs out with a tag team called T&A. She's now hailed as a WWE Hall of Famer, a pioneer in the women's wrestling landscape.

We've heard it all about Trish at this point, so let's focus on her music, shall we?

In case you didn't know yet, the track is called "Time to Rock 'n Roll" and it was recorded by Lil' Kim. Yes, the same Lil' Kim who was once discovered by The Notorious B.I.G., the same Lil' Kim who had a verse in the remake of "Lady Marmalade" for the Moulin Rouge soundtrack alongside Mýa, Pink, and Christina Aguilera.

Lil' Kim pretty much does everything on this track from that seductive giggle at the start, to the hook that you're probably singing along to right now, to that rap in the second verse where she took the swag to a whole 'nother level.

It's a song that works as well for Trish in 2018 as it did in the early 2000s. It nailed the crux of her personality pretty well, while exuding the right type of aura for her character. In short, it sums Trish Stratus up and completes the package for those who've never seen or heard of her before as she walks out to the ring. This woman is confident and successful; and she's a go-getter, to boot.

Don't believe me? Take it from the seven-time Women's Champion herself in this video to promote WWE Anthology, a compilation album from 2002 made of WWE Superstars' entrance themes.
