Fabio Makisig Drops A Surprise Shoot on Robin Sane

Last week, MWF released a vlog from Robin Sane, where he challenges Fabio Makisig to fight him "at 100%." For context, Fabio Makisig has said, on more than one occasion, that he prefers to work with "minimum effort for maximum effect."

Yesterday, Makisig responded to the video in kind. But while it has similar aesthetic production values to Sane's video, Makisig's response was uploaded to a random Facebook Page called "帰宅します, Amado." In it, the cigarette-smoking Makisig calls out Sane's alleged hypocrisy for playing a good guy, citing Sane's real life relationships and how he is the traitorous bad guy in those narratives.

When he shared this video to his own account, Fabio further claimed that the MWF management refused to upload it. This morning, the MWF Insider blog released the following official statement:
The Manila Wrestling Federation does not encourage and condone acts that are offensive, unprofessional and disrespectful to the personal lives of anyone in the MWF roster, administrative staff, and production crew. The situation regarding Fabio Makisig’s rogue attempt to promote himself online will be dealt with internally.

Analysis: Shoot or work?

On a personal note, some people have asked this writer to use his personal connections to determine: Is this a work to promote the title match of MWF 6: Noche Buena, or is Fabs legitimately shooting at the wrestler who plays the Robin Sane character?

It should be noted though, that outside the borderline shoot nature of the Mr. Lucha - Jake De Leon storyline, the MWF tends to prefer sticking to kayfabe. Sparing usage of the worked shoot means that when it does get used, it becomes something special.

Ika nga nila, "minimum effort, maximum effect."
