#ThemeSongTuesday: BROOOOOOO

What I love about new Superstars on either NXT or the main roster is checking their entrance music out because it's instant content for this column. But for some reason, it's taken WWEMusic ages to release Matt Riddle's entrance theme as a single on their YouTube and Spotify accounts.

Thankfully, a good samaritan (using a YouTube channel named "WWE Music," not to be confused with WWE's official channel, "WWEMusic") uploaded the closest thing we'll have to the King of Bros' full theme (for now).

There's so much to love on this track. Let's start with the '90s west coast hip-hop beat, which emanates surfer/stoner bro coolness and swagger. While listening to this theme, it's impossible to contort your face into the stereotypical stoner face, where your eyes are half-shut and your mouth is slightly agape like you're fresh off a hot box session.

The stoner face

Hearing the vocals of who I'm assuming is Matt Riddle throughout the track is a nice touch. From the "BROOOOO" in the hook to him saying, "Let me know, bro," it captures the Matt Riddle character perfectly. He's a chill surfer/stoner bro, but he's also a badass.

I mentioned the badass part because I've developed a soft spot for hip-hop beats being used as entrance themes in pro wrestling. This is because it's way too easy to just go for a generic rock theme. So to go against the grain and pick a hip-hop beat that encapsulates a wrestler's character means that the people working on his packaging understand what he brings to the table and how he presents himself.

I can't get tired of this track (just yet) and I'd love to hear a version where Snoop Dogg or Dr. Dre rap over these verses. It'll be absolutely refreshing compared to the trap-based beats we hear on most contemporary hip-hop songs. Lookin' at you, Migos.

It's only a matter of time until WWEMusic officially releases Matt Riddle's theme, and when they do, well, I hope you have a good listen at 4:20 a.m. or p.m. for me, brooooooo.
